Horrible Squirrel
Been wanting to make a demo for Horrible Squirrel, and Bezi Jam 10 seemed like the perfect excuse. The game was inspired by the jam’s “one mechanic” restriction — everything revolves around jumping from branch to branch collecting nuts. The art style is based on the original Horrible Squirrel t-shirt design: scratchy pine-needle branches, giant goofy eyes, and chaotic squirrel energy. Art was digitized by Em, while I handled the code. Used Bezi for debugging and optimization throughout development.
The Core Mechanic : The squirrel never stops jumping. It bounces automatically on contact. The player's only control is horizontal position. That's it. This is the whole game...it's infinite.
